Arthur's Video Clips

Arthurs Video Clips!

The first clip is Arthur when he was a few minutes old. Neil forgot the camera when we headed to the hospital at 1am after the homebirth didnt pan out, so the only record we have of Arthur being all brand new is on the camcorder. Here it is! This is just a tiny clip of me holding Arthur in the hospital bed, I guess while they waited for my placenta to arrive, though I dont remember that really! Neil is the voice you hear behind the camera :)

Arthur a few minutes old

The next clip was taken (as you will hear me say I like to narrate!) when Arthur was 3 weeks and 5 days old. Neil was burping him over his shoulder. I cant believe how little and different he looks here, to how he looks now. He did a burp at the end :) I cut this clip a nanosecond before he also puked nicely on the burp towel! ;)

Arthur 3 weeks, 5 days old (burp!)

I am not sure how old Arthur is in this next one. It was around Christmas, maybe after we all had the dreaded flu bug, so I guess he was 7 or 8 weeks old here. Not older or younger anyway. Its just a short few seconds of Neil and I (Neil behind the camera) being totally gooey over our little boy! Thats Neils voice being all mushy :) Arthur sneezed in this one!

Arthur - 7 weeks ish

Okay, the next two clips were part of the same footage but I made them into separate clips so that you didnt get a huge load of waffle in the middle! They were filmed when he was 12 weeks and 4 days old. In this first one, Arthur was talking to the ceiling light something he loved to do at the time, if you remember me writing about it! The sound is fuzzy but oh well.

Arthur 12 weeks, 4 days old (part one!)

Heres the second part Arthur cooing at me and me cooing back :)

Arthur 12 weeks, 4 days old (part two!)

This next clip is really short. It was taken at my parents house in France just as we were loading up into the car to go to the airport and fly home. It had snowed overnight and we were outside showing Arthur his first snow and marvelling at how pretty everything looked. There isnt much to this clip, just me taking Arthur from my mummy and then Arthur sneezing (again!)! And us laughing. And then Neil saying how its time to go :) But I like this clip because we were with my parents and we were laughing :) And Arthur was cute, of course!

Arthur 15 weeks old

Okay this next one is just very short Arthur was in his non-bouncy chair in the kitchen and I was telling him how he is gorgeous :) He really is though. I think he was around 20 weeks old here because I know he was wearing his last set of plasters.

Arthur 20 weeks ish!

The next clip is fairly recent! Remember Arthur and the carrot? The first time I ever gave him a carrot to bite on? Well here it is :) He was 5 and a half months old, so only a couple of weeks ago. The clip after this was taken at the same time, but a few minutes after.

Arthur and the carrot! 5 and a half months old

Here is the second part of the carrot footage (!!) this one is more chatty (um, well, on my part anyway!), and Arthur wanted to eat part of the camcorder. And his carrot went on the floor. And he is so cute. Sooooo cute :)

Arthur and the carrot, part two!

The next clip was taken at 5 months and 3 weeks (or was it 2 weeks?) when my parents and my brother and his Sarah were round to visit us. Arthur was playing with his big cube with beads on. He discovered it was the most fun to kick at the blocks on the rungs with his feet, but he also likes to be held standing and hold the wires with the beads on. Here he is (on my lap)!

Arthur 5 and a half months

This one is Arthur rolling from back to tummy, one day before he turned six months old!

Arthur 6 months (minus one day!) rolling

The next clip is Arthur chewing on Daddys finger and chatting a bit, taken the same day as the previous one (just before six months old).

Arthur 6 months (minus one day!) chomping

Here is Arthur giggling and giggling until he got hiccups, because Neil was roaring at him :) He loves to be roared at! It was taken at the same time as the previous two.

Arthur 6 months (minus one day!) giggling

The next clip is of Arthur having his first solids on his half birthday!

Arthur six months old today! First solids

This next clip is Arthur (aged 6 and a half months) in his bug print fuzzi bunz on the grey fleece, having a chat with nobody in particular! He is doing what he does a LOT these days, lots of loud day-day-day-day! sounds. I love how he makes such funny expressions when he talks like this! Anyway, here he is talking:

Arthur - 6 and a half months - talking:

Here is Arthur at 6 and a half months (the next clip was taken at the same time as this one), watching me blowing bubbles on our bed.

Arthur - 6 and a half months - bubbles:

Here is the other clip taken when the last clip was - I was pulling Arthur from lying down into a sitting position, but he doesn't like to sit, he prefers to go into a standing position, and he is so excited when he is standing! Here he is doing just that:

Arthur - 6 and a half months - standing:

Here is a clip of Arthur at just over 7 months old, sitting. He did so much bouncing and bobbing that he eventually toppled over, but I can't work out if that was his intention or not!

Arthur sitting - 7 months old

This next clip is Arthur aged 8 months and one week. He was only just getting started on solids, and we were trying him out on as many different flavours (purees for this task!) as possible to get him past his gaggy-flavour reactions to everything! Here he is trying broccoli, cauliflower and parsnip for the first time! His faces were wonderful! :)

Arthur - 8 months - broccoli and cauliflower!

Here is another clip taken the same day as the last one, of Arthur aged 8 months and 1 week. Neil was bouncing one of his squishy bath balls on the floor as hard as he could, and Arthur was laughing and laughing at it! Such a sweetie!

Arthur - 8 months - laughing at the bouncing ball!

This next clip is of Arthur crawling just a short distance - one of his first crawls! He was crawling towards a musical toy that Neil loved when he was a child. We put it a few feet away as "bait", haha! The clip was taken when he was exactly 8 and a half months old. He crawled for the first time just 2 days before this was filmed!

Arthur - 8.5 months - first crawling!

The next clip is of Arthur crawling into the kitchen, just a few days after the last one was taken, so 8.5 months old again. I loved hearing his little slappy hands approaching! He was so eager to practise crawling once he got going!

Arthur - 8.5 months - Crawling into the kitchen

Here's a clip of Arthur walking with me holding his hands, all around the living room! He LOVES to be on his feet, and has walked with someone holding his hands from before he could crawl. This clip was taken at the same time as the last one - 8.5 months old.

Arthur - 8.5 months - Walking with support

The next clip is a longer clip (about 3 minutes), of Arthur watching the spin cycle on the washing machine and joining in with the noise! Then he crawled away but kept having to stop and look. He loves that machine! He was 9 and a half months old when this was taken.

Arthur - 9.5 months - Watching the washing machine and crawling

This next clip was taken when Arthur was 10 months and 3 weeks old. One of the funniest things for Arthur is when Mummy or Daddy drop something by accident and make "Ooh! Ooh!" sounds as the item falls! He thinks this is the funniest thing ever! On this occasion, I opened the kitchen cupboard and some light packages fell out on me. Arthur was cruising around the chairs at the time, and he laughed sooo hard. He seemed to want it repeated so I set the camera up and faked the incident over and over again! He laughed so much that he even fell down and got hiccups! He was very annoyed when the game was over. Here he is doing all that!

Arthur - 10.5 months - Laughing at Mummy dropping things!
